On Thursday 28th May, Wellington Park took part in the Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Did you know that 1 in 2 Australian men and 1 in 3 Australian women will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85? The Cancer Council aims to minimise the threat of cancer through successful prevention, detection, treatment, support and funding of world-class cancer research.
Both Stanford and Wentworth hosted a morning tea with over 80 people in attendance. The kitchen kindly donated all of the scrumptious cakes including; tiramisu, lemon and lime cheesecakes, salted caramel slice, peach berry and custard crumble, lamingtons and chocolate biscuits! It’s safe to say that we relished devouring all of these delicious treats!
We had a lovely morning and were really pleased to welcome a number of family members who joined us in helping to raise an impressive $307.35.
Thank you to all that attended and to the kitchen staff for outdoing yourselves on such a fine spread!
