The Brisbane Ekka came to us last month with over 25 residents, volunteers, family members with children with a handful of staff.

Everyone enjoyed a day filled with culture, fun and entertainment!

The day began with an animal parade, followed by lucky door prizes and parachute fun. Our guessing skills were then put to the test as we all took on the challenge to guess how many lollies were in the jar.

Our luncheon was quite a treat with gourmet hotdogs topped with bacon, onion, cheese and sauces we’d made ourselves; followed by delicious strawberry-topped ice cream cones with fresh cream.

At the end of what was a big and eventful day, everyone was given showbags that had been painted by our residents as a nice memento for a wonderful day.
