We were very excited last month to kick-start our weekly bus trips, and what better way to explore the Gold Coast than to visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

Sprawling 31 hectares, the Botanical Gardens have become well regarded as a place to relax and enjoy all that nature has to offer. It is a place where you can touch and feel the plants, admire the native butterflies and stop and smell the roses.

So after breakfast on a fine Monday morning ten of our lovely residents lined up and jumped on our mini bus and headed out to Benowa. Pitching up by the pond, our residents enjoyed feeding the ducks and majestic swans and devoured a tasty morning tea supplied by our Merrimac Park chef.
