St Patricks Day and Easter headed our cultural calendar with various activities held during the month. Activities included cooking, crafts, poetry, high tea and St Patricks Happy Hour.
Residents also enjoyed another opportunity to engage in the powerful interactive atmosphere initiated by Gareth. This is a regular and a popular social and physical event where the residents can express themselves musically using drums and percussion instruments.
We also ran our usual 1:1 interaction or individual activities which utilises skills from our residents’ past work experiences or hobbies. One resident has enjoyed sanding and painting wood to later be used as a 1:1 activity for all residents. While another has completed piecing together, then painting a wooden semi trailer truck. It’s always amazing to see what our Gold Coast aged care residents come up with!
