Our Merrimac aged care residents enjoyed a visit from All Saints Anglican College, Intergenerational Craft and some fishing at Coomera River last month.

All Saints Anglican College
At the beginning of October All Saints Anglican College visited. The students are in year 11 and 12 and form part of an elite music group. The college visits us every 2nd year giving students the opportunity to practice in front of a crowd and for the residents to enjoy classical pieces performed by such talented young musicians and singers.

Intergenerational Crafts
Residents enjoy their monthly visit by QIC early learning. The children definitely are not shy and really get involved, both generations sharing, learning and helping each other. During October artists young and old joined forces to start on Halloween wall art.

A spot of fishing at the Coomera River
Residents really look forward to their bus outings, in particular when it involves hands on interaction. October’s day outing took residents out to the Coomera River for a picnic lunch and a spot of fishing. Cecil hooked onto a ripper bream!
