Last month our Aged Care Brisbane residents had a pleasant outing at the Redlands Sporting Club, enjoyed live music and dancing at our facility plus much more.

Music, Pokies and Lunch at the Redlands Sporting Club

Our residents enjoyed listening to the live music and reminiscing about their days at the club. A couple went off to dabble on the Pokies but most were happy to just sit back, relax and enjoy their surroundings.

A visit to eMJays Coffee Shop

Last month we enjoyed a visit to eMJays Coffee Shop, where we had a refreshing morning tea with a delicious cappuccino, made with our new lifestyle coffee machine. Family members joined in on the autumn festivities and discussed what they all loved about their memories of autumn.

St Patrick’s Day Celebrations

It was a busy week of preparation and festivity in Stanford. For craft we made our table decorations and Leprechaun beards in preparation for the big day. The ladies cooked up Irish Potato Wedges, with bacon, cheese and sour cream. All that attended agreed they were absolutely delicious!!!

We had 20 residents in the function room to take part in the festivities. No one opted for the green food colour in their wine or beer but many were happy to have a giggle with a lime soda spider. The Irish tunes playing in the background had many a toe tapping and helped set the mood for a wonderful morning.

Gleny Returns with her Latest Ballroom Dancing Show

Gleny had been away for over 6 months and the residents were delighted to see her again. Gleny does a theme based show with her partner Bryian and the St Patricks show was worth the wait. We look forward to seeing her again in May.

Our Last BBQ Luncheon Before the Cold Weather Arrives.

The entire facility was filled with the smell of onions frying and sausages sizzling. We look forward to hosting another BBQ when the warm weather returns.

Our Favourite Companion Lilly Turns 1

Lilly paraded the wings in her birthday attire, putting a smile on everyone’s face. The residents smothered her with cuddles and birthday treats, we are very lucky to have such a beautiful animal in our lives.
