Last month our brisbane aged care residents enjoyed some alfresco dining at our facility, lunch outings and some Chinese New Year lantern making.
A touch of alfresco dining at Stanford
On Wednesday 11th Pearl residents enjoyed a social lunch in the gazebo ‘Alfresco Style’. Residents enjoyed their lunch in the surrounds of their gardens. They all enjoyed the fresh air.
Luncheon at Hogan’s Bistro
On Wednesday 18th we all ventured to Hogan’s for a luncheon and to get out of the heat. Residents enjoyed lasagne, fish and chips and even a few steaks were consumed – all washed down with a mouth watering beer or wine! Hogan’s Bistro is always one of our favourite Wellington Point dining locations.
Australia Day morning tea
On Wednesday 25th we celebrated Australia with a morning tea filled with party pies, sausage rolls, cheerios and lamingtons. Residents enjoyed singing Australian songs – We Are One, Home Amongst the Gumtree and plenty more. The atmosphere was exciting and fun and our residents had a ball!
Chinese New Year lantern making
On Tuesday 2nd February, Wentworth residents took pleasure in creating lanterns for our craft morning, for our upcoming Chinese New Years Lantern Festival Morning Tea. They were very interested with the conversations about the Chinese New Year traditions and they all loved the way their names are written in Chinese that the lifestyle Staff had printed out for them.
