Merrimac Aged Care Facility Celebrates Australia Day

Merrimac Aged Care Facility Gold Coast Bus Tours

Each Monday morning and afternoon, residents head off on the bus to various locations around the Gold Coast, stopping along the way for a snack anywhere from the beach to the hills and everything in between.

An Elvis Experience

Merrimac Aged Care Facility became an Elvis frenzy one Friday afternoon during a happy hour. Residents got ‘all shook up’ when birthday heartthrob, Elvis started rocking (via our day’s entertainer, Jeff).

Connecting You Now! The Humour Foundation

Residents of Merrimac Park took part in a trial program with Elder Clown, a creation of the Humour Foundation.

Over two hours each session, our participants have taken part in either group or 1:1 interactive fun and laughter via ZOOM.

Just one more way to get through the Covid times with great results.

Aussie Day

Merrimac Aged Care Facility took another happy hour on Australia Day. Residents made vegemite scrolls accompanied by lamingtons, beer, and of course wine. David, the one-man band, provided entertainment that encouraged everyone singing along to good old Aussie tunes and the odd dance, or two.

Around the Grounds

Merrimac’s calendar has a variety of other (both planned and unplanned) activities available for residents to take part in or to create.
