Little Angels Kindy Visit
Every Wednesday morning, we share laughter and love with Kindy kids. It was a whole lot of fun being with them last month.
Celebrating EKKA
Merrimac Park Private Care celebrated EKKA with carnival games, animals and show bags.
The residents and staff were treated to a variety of farm animals visiting all units. Next, show bags were stuffed and shared around with laughs and smiles.
We reminisced about time on the farm and/or fairs we have attended through the years and how things have changed.
Ballroom Dancing
We had a lovely opportunity to learn ballroom and Latin dance. What’s more exciting about that lessons is that they were adapted to any one’s abilities. And yes, they were perfect for those in wheelchairs and princess chairs too!
The residents reminisced about their dancing days and dancing partners.
Bird Watching
We invited the Gold Coast Branch of Birdlife Southern Queensland. They visited and brought a wonderful amount of knowledge and experience to share with our residents. They even brought binoculars and showed everyone how to use them properly.
Everyone enjoyed the morning tea on the balcony with them and we sighted 23 species of birds in our area. We are now looking at the skies whenever we are outside.
Goodbye Party
We bid goodbye to Lauren and Kathryn with many fond memories of them. Residents and family along with staff showed up to wish them well in the future. We shared many tears and told many stories.
