Elvis Presley Day

On Wednesday, January 8th, we commemorated Elvis Presley’s birthday at Merrimac Park Private Care. We were thrilled to have an exceptional Elvis tribute artist perform for us, much to the delight of our residents.

Our Elvis enthusiasts also had the opportunity to capture memorable photographs from the event.

Bus Outing Adventures

Last month, for our annual outing, we revisited the Historic River Mill as our residents had such a wonderful experience there during our previous visit.

They enjoyed observing various animals and historical artifacts, which sparked engaging conversations among everyone. We also had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful picnic in the warmth of the summer breeze.

Gardening Club

Many of our residents have thoroughly enjoyed spending time in our beautiful garden. We’ve been busy with repotting and harvesting a variety of delicious fruits and vegetables.

It’s truly rewarding to see our residents actively engaging with and making the most of the garden space.

Farm Animal Visit

Last month, we were delighted to welcome Old McDonald’s Farm for a special visit. Both residents and staff had the wonderful opportunity to interact with and cuddle a piglet, lamb, chicken, and guinea pig.

Many memorable photos were taken, which our residents are excited to display on their walls.

Chinese New Year

We celebrated Chinese New Year with a beautiful high tea for all our residents, featuring a selection of delicious sweets prepared by our kitchen team.

Many of the residents also contributed by helping to create decorations for the occasion. One of them, a former professional Chinese calligrapher, generously crafted stunning signs that were displayed on residents’ doors and throughout the facility. It was a wonderful celebration that brought everyone together.
