Oktoberfest Celebration

Last month, we hosted our Oktoberfest celebration at Merrimac Park Private Care. Attendees enjoyed an engaging atmosphere filled with traditional German music and lively dances.

The event featured a delightful array of food and beverages, creating a day rich in enjoyment and camaraderie.

Bus Outing to Swell Festival

We had the pleasure of attending the Swell Festival at Currumbin Beach for our annual bus outing. This festival showcased a stunning array of large-scale outdoor art installations, allowing our group to explore and appreciate the creativity of various artists.

The lovely weather further enhanced our experience, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing picnic by the beach.

We enjoyed a delightful selection of food and beverages while experiencing the breathtaking ocean views and the sounds of the waves.

Craft Group – Rainbow Sun Catchers

During one of our craft sessions last month, residents had the opportunity to create beautiful rainbow sun catchers.

This engaging activity was met with enthusiasm, and all participants enjoyed expressing their creativity through this hands-on project. We have proudly displayed all of the completed sun catchers on the windows, which has added a splash of color and personality to our activity room.

Men’s Group

At Merrimac Park Private Care, we believe in honoring and celebrating the remarkable men residing in our facility.

Last month, as the weather begins to warm up, we organized an ice cream social to show our appreciation for the men. Along with enjoying ice creams, we played board games and did some stimulating quizzes.

Our aim was to create a joyful atmosphere where residents could socialize with one another and enjoy delicious treats.

Baking Group

We also introduced baking group as a regular feature in our monthly activities calendar. Last month, baking session focused on the creation of delicious chocolate crackles, which proved to be a delightful experience for all residents involved.

This engaging activity not only allowed participants to enjoy the joys of baking but also sparked numerous fond memories from their pasts regarding baking and cooking.
