Creativity at its Best: Merrimac Park Residential Aged Care Halloween Preparations and More

Bus Outing to Broadbeach

For Merrimac Park Residential Aged Care’s annual bus outing last month, we organized a morning excursion for a group of residents to Broadbeach.

The day commenced with a scenic drive around the area, during which we reminisced about past experiences and observed the changes that have occurred over the years. We paused for morning tea and coffee before visiting the local art gallery.

To conclude the day, we enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the beach, taking in the waves and the beautiful surroundings.

Happy Hour with David Luxmore

Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming the talented David Luxmore to Merrimac Park Private Care for an entertaining afternoon filled with engaging singing and dancing. It was complemented by a selection of delicious food and beverages.

Old McDonalds Farm Visit

It was a pleasure welcoming Old McDonald’s Farm back for a delightful visit. This time, residents enjoyed the company of a baby pig, chickens, lambs, and goats.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to engage with the animals, and many memorable photos were taken, capturing the joy and excitement of the experience. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable occasion for everyone involved.

Witch Hat Decorating

In celebration of the Halloween season, we organized a fun activity centered around decorating witch hats. Many residents participated in a creative and enjoyable morning, each provided with a blank witch hat to personalize as they wished.

The event showcased a variety of imaginative designs, resulting in an impressive array of unique creations. It was a wonderful opportunity for residents to express their creativity and embrace the festive spirit.

Pumpkin Craft

Last month, in keeping with the Halloween theme, we organized a pumpkin painting spree for our Merrimac Park Residential Aged Care residents to create decorative pieces for the activities room.

Participants thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing craft session, allowing them to express their creativity. The results were impressive, with each resident producing a remarkable pumpkin that contributed to the festive atmosphere. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the season while fostering a sense of community and creativity.
