Each Friday throughout March, Merrimac Residential Aged Care residents were encouraged to wear something a little different leading up to Madhatters Happy Hour where prizes were up for grabs.
Merrimac Residential Aged Care Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day
From cooking a slow cooked Irish Stew to Irish Bingo, St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated in many different ways right throughout our home.
Merrimac residents love to stay connected to the community and March was no exception! We took part in The World’s Greatest Shave and the Genpal Intergenerational Program for the third year.
Happy Easter Hour
By the end of the month, COVID restrictions found their way back again. We may have had to cancel our entertainer but our Easter Celebrations went ahead with happy hour being spread across three areas.
At Ritz, residents enjoyed a sing-along, Easter Hat reveals, beer, wine and a lot of laughter while Raffles residents chose a slightly ‘quieter’ atmosphere with a little wine and beer here and there, plus jigging away to vintage Easter songs. Finally, what would Easter be without chocolates?
There was a time during March where families and friends were able to join us at Merrimac Residential Aged Care.
We managed to dodge quite a few raindrops on the odd occasion as well as getting in some bus outings. Residents also kept active and had fun with a multitude of activities.
Memories and Moments
There are many ways we can recall memories. Residents at Merrimac shared some of theirs.
