Wellington Park Aged Care Home Honors Various Cultures!

International Women’s Day in Wellington Park

Wellington Park Aged Care Home celebrated morning and afternoon teas for our special ladies in the facility. The ladies wanted to pose for a photo with the parasols and flowers showing off their beautiful smiles and sharing with the group how special it is to be a woman and reminiscing past hobbies and interests.

World’s Greatest Shave

John, one of our Wellington Park residents led the World’s Greatest Shave. He had his beard dyed blue and was ready to lose it all for a great cause. Dakoda, a staff member also offered to lose his sideburns that he had been growing for at least 2 years.

Men’s Shed and Ladies Group Handicrafts

Residents of Wellington Park Aged Care Home have been working with needles, cotton, wood, and nails. The men’s shed has been putting together a wooden crate ready to have them painted and sold at the end-of-year craft stall. The ladies have been working on their knitting skills making scarves, knee blankets, and sewing decorative buttons onto tote bags.
