Belly Dancing
Last month, we welcomed a lovely belly dancer who was so graceful and mesmerizing to watch. Our residents were very impressed and one got up without any hesitation and joined her on the dance floor. It was fun witnessing how he could also move with grace and agility to match her.
Happy Hour
Residents really enjoyed the Happy Hour every Friday afternoon. They get to let their hair down and dance to the music. They also get to have drinks and nibbles and forget their troubles. Families came to join the fun which made it extra special.
Regular Bus Trips
Residents look forward to bus trips. Last month, they had picnics under the sun. It was cold but we were well supplied with blankets to keep everyone warm.
One of our trips was to a lakeside where some of the residents took a stroll around enjoying the sunshine and having a bit of exercise.
Show Days for the month of August
In honor of the Show Days happening in August, Merrimac Park Private Care had their own version spread over 2 days.
Residents got their individual score card to take around and participate in activities to earn points.
They played games such as:
- Hit the cans
- Pluck a duck
- Table Golf
- Ring Toss
They would then go to spin the wheel to see if they can double their points and pick a prize at the end.
Aside from the games, there was Lucky Dips and a photo booth for a more festive feel. The residents enjoyed and didn’t want to end. They picked prizes that they could keep as a remembrance or give away to their grandchildren. Everyone had so much fun they wanted to do it again next year.
Art Gallery
Residents got to see their Art Works displayed and admired by everyone. They worked hard for these throughout the month of August. It is where the residents get to express their creativity and love for colors.

- 10th – Rose and Thorn Concert at 10.30am at the Ritz
- 15th – Mad Hatters Tea Party 10.30am at the Ritz
- 16th – Picnic Bus Trip to Marine Parade 9.30am
- 25th – Pankina Singers at 10.30am in the Ritz
