Bus Trips
Merrimac Park Private Care residents got to visit local areas where they enjoyed a picnic or taking photos around the scenic surroundings.
High Tea with a Twist
Our residents took the opportunity to enjoy high tea – with a twist! We usually enjoy our high tea by reminiscing about the “Good Old Days” to test our general knowledge. Last month, we tried to recreate going to the movies with popcorn – it was a fun twist.
Valentine’s Day Celebrations
On Valentines week, we had an activity to test our grey matter. Two teams were formed for a friendly competition. The objective of the game was to match couples such as Elvis and Pricilla and Humphrey Bogart with Lauren Bacall.
Team A were triumphant so they received one Love Heart sunglasses each.
Team B did not go empty handed. They got chocolates for their efforts so everyone was a winner.
We also held a Valentines Raffle and the winner received amazing goodies!
Valentine’s Day Happy Hour
Our residents got to enjoy Valentines day Happy Hour here at Merrimac Park Private Care. Some of their loved ones came to join in on the celebrations. Dancing was the order of the day. It was so much fun!
Chinese New Year
We didn’t finish the love month without celebrating Chinese New Year with Dragon Dancers.
We were privileged to watch them perform as we rang in the Chinese New Year.
Our residents were so enthralled by their performance that they didn’t mind the loud drumming accompanying them. They seemed so real and with much energy.
We were also blessed to meet and greet them afterwards and pose for some photos.

- 23rd March 10.30am – Welcoming Committee Morning Tea
