From Bus Trips to Bird Boxes: Your Loved Ones Created and Shared with Joy

Last month, residents witnessed a drive through opportunity by the local car club. While the club was unable to park up, the residents were still able to view and listen to the cars. They lined up at the building entrances and some watched the cars from their patios. This experience provided a base for some fantastic banter at the conclusion.
Speaking of cars, residents also went off on bus trips to places including The Bush Pantry. Everyone spent quality time going through the menus before heading up to order and pay independently. After lunch, some opted for a stroll around while others sat and had a chat.
At the Men’s Shed
Our men put out some tools and started on some small wood projects like plant stands, tables, crates and bird boxes. This will be an ongoing project for the gentlemen (and sometimes, with the ladies). The finished products will be showcased on our crafts stall later this year.
Our Creations
There is no right or wrong in creativity and each activity shares a story or two.
We share, we connect, we create.
- During a cooking session one recipe became another.
- Our paint and sip groups focused on rainforests and flowers.
- We also did colour and cut sessions.
- The others liked to create in the comforts of their room.
Around Our Home
Every Tuesday, we have Lillie (roaming therapy dog) visit us. She goes all around our home with Lyn bringing smiles to everyone. Hesta, another wonderful volunteer came forming great friendships. We make sure our residents stay connected with their own furry friends too.
Aside from that, they enjoyed other activities from targets to boards. There is always something happening somewhere, whether it’s a small or large group gathered.
