Cultural Events

Last month, residents and staff took part in a fundraising event – Flanno For Farmers raising over $400.00. They also spent a day at the Ekka (in-house) taking part in a variety of side show games, show bags and of course, Strawberry ice cream! Finally, we enjoyed our country-themed Paint and Sip activities.

Entertainment

Remembering Elvis Presley (16/08/1977), our residents enjoyed the tribute shows by Pete Memphis. We had two sessions where we sang along to all our favourite Elvis songs, treated to a few famous Elvis moves and had our photos taken.

We also enjoyed the soothing sounds from the harp. Last month gave us plenty of opportunities to share our own talents.

Volunteer Visitors and Community Trips

Our regular events on the calendar are bus trips around the Redlands and receiving volunteer visitors from the Circle of Men. We look forward to the next.

Keeping the Mind, Body and Soul Active

From cooking days to quoits hours, no two days are the same inside Wellington Park Private Care. Our residents also enjoyed their regular Arts and Crafts activities, The Writer’s Block and Reading Group.
