Melbourne Cup Live
Melbourne Cup, the race that stops the nation was once again a success! Merrimac Gold Coast Nursing Care staff and residents enjoyed sweeps and best dresses. They had a great afternoon high tea with entertainment provided by Jeff and of course, the Melbourne Cup race live. It’s such a fantastic day with plenty of winners.
Remembrance Day
Our residents and staff came together to commemorate Remembrance Day indoors. The service began just after morning tea with our Centre Manager leading. Merrimac Park residents and our Pastor contributed to the readings and hymn. At the conclusion of the service, three residents took place outside at the flagpole to lay wreaths.
Cultural Dining
We continued our journey around the globe stopping by Macedonia for lunch one day last November. Some residents also got together earlier to prepare decorations.
Igniting the senses!
Nothing brings back memories like the smell of something cooking. Residents got together at Ritz and whipped up a batch of mini quiches. Of course, housework is something that never really leaves us, as hard as we may try.. and then, bus trips!
