Father’s Day at Raffles

Merrimac Park Private Care residents especially the men got together for lunch to celebrate being ‘them’. As we are still unable to have family mingle socially, this year, each of our fathers were joined by their significant others in their lives by way of photos. They all enjoyed a beer and each received a gift.

A Spooky Halloween

Staff and residents at Ritz acknowledged the spooky time of the year – Halloween! They dressed up in their best worst and got together for Halloween Happy Hour.

Merrimac Park Private Care Outings

The residents go out twice a month and on Monday mornings to see and enjoy the sights that Gold Coast has to offer. Our outings present the opportunity for residents to perhaps remember places they had been, worked, and shopped. It also allows them to see how much the Gold Coast has changed. Residents also get picked up to go out for a day with their families.

Keeping the body and mind active

Inside Merrimac Park Aged Care, you’ll always see groups of residents taking part in exercise programs such as seated exercises led by our physio assistant, modified ball games, and number and word games. Our activities are all designed to suit all capabilities and strengths.

Around our grounds

Each resident celebrating their birthdays at Merrimac Park have a cake freshly prepared for them by our chefs in the kitchen. They’re catering for all diets.

Most love to get out in fresh air for walks, be creative in the garden, or have fun during arts and craft sessions.

Another entertaining activity is receiving animal visitors from Harmony Hooves.

And finally, getting up to sing and dance is well, a standard thing to do inside the nursing care.
